Inear Display has announced that its virtual instrument and effect plugins are now available as “pay what you like” downloads, including free.
Developer Thomas Hennebert explains:
Inear Display was a commercial endeavour for 12 years, but in 2025, it turned into a side project. There has been a one year hiatus after this change, while I evaluated how to keep the development of the plugins going.
Available in VST3 and AU formats for Windows and macOS, the following plugins are available from Inear Display’s Gumroad page:
- Ephemere: Glitch percussion synth.
- Amalgame: Sound design playground.
- Litote: Granular exploration box.
- Lancinantes: Drone synthesizer.
- Gorgon: Ultraviolent distortion.
- Interstice: Esoteric dual band delay.
- Incipit: Creative delay toolbox.
- Cruelle: Brutal distortion unit.
- Antagone: Glitchy dual delay.
- Bref: Random glitch percussion synth.
- Regressif: Audio degradation effect.
A fair price is suggested to help fund future development, but you can enter a price of 0 and get the plugins for free.
