Initial Audio has announced a major update to its equalizer effect plugin for Windows and Mac. Dynamic EQ 2 introduces intelligent multiband dynamics and an inter-instance workflow that aims to let your tracks mix themselves.
The plugin cuts mud only when it builds up, and boosts air but automatically clamps down on harsh “S” sounds. Dynamic EQ 2 “listens” to the vocal and ducks the guitar automatically, and it maintains the natural body of the sound.
Dynamic EQ 2 is our M/S parametric EQ with built-in multiband compression and expansion on every band – plus a unique inter-instance sidechain system.
The instances loaded on your tracks communicate with each other, allowing one instance to use another as a sidechain input and completely bypass the usual DAW routing.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST3, AU and AAX), Dynamic EQ 2 is priced $20 USD. Owners of the original Dynamic EQ can get version 2 for free.
