Kaizen DSP has introduced a chorus effect plugin for Windows and macOS. Providing complete control over modulation, Choroboros features 5 engines, each with its own character—from classic to experimental.
Whether you need the warm vintage character of bucket brigade and tape delay (Red engine), a transparent wide stereo chorus for vocals (Blue engine), or a low-CPU multi-voice ensemble for stacking on bass and synths (Black engine), Choroboros provides the right tool. Built for macOS (AU/VST3) and Windows (VST3), it features an unprecedented live diagnostic Dev Panel to solve common mix issues like mud, phase cancellation, and clipping in real time.
Choroboros features
- Rate Sync: Right-click Rate for tempo-synced divisions (straight, triplet, dotted, swing).
- Type values: Double-click any value label to enter exact numbers.
- Engine persistence: Each engine remembers its own settings when you switch.
- Feedback: Built-in feedback dialog in the plugin — or submit feedback here.
- Per-engine skins: Different visuals per engine—knobs, panels, HQ toggle.
Currently in a beta testing phase, Chroboros is offered for free until May 1st, 2026.
