KV331 Audio has announced an update for its SynthMaster 2 software synthesizer on for Windows, macOS and iOS. Version 2.9.18 comes with various improvements.
SynthMaster 2 is a two layer ‘all-around’ semi-modular software synthesizer and effect plug-in that comes with 2000 factory presets right out of the box. It features many different synthesis methods including VA, Additive, Wavetable, Wavescanning, Phase Modulation, Frequency Modulation, Pulse Width Modulation, Ring Modulation, Amplitude Modulation, Physical Modeling and SFZ Sample Playback synthesis.

- Added Undo for preset loads (Win/Mac/iOS).
- Added Import/Export MIDI Mappings (Win/Mac).
- Added fade in/fade out of master volume when loading presets (Win/Mac/iOS).
- Added Task Dialog to show progress of expansion downloads (Win/Mac/iOS).
- Added MIDI Learn for XYView displays (Win/Mac/iOS).
- Loading presets now take place inside the main thread to prevent crashes (Win/Mac/iOS).
- Added system allocated memory checks to prevent crashes during preset loads (iOS).
- Added “Map CC74 to CC1” setting to Settings Dialog (iOS).
- Saving presets is now implemented using Files app (iOS).
- Standalone app and AUv3 plugin now share the same documents folder (iOS).
- License Key File Dialog is now displayed after plugin window is shown (Win/Mac).
- Various bug fixes.
