LANDR has announced two new creator tools in the company’s expanding ethical, multi-model AI platform.
Blueprints is designed for the earliest stages of music creation, whether an artist needs inspiration for a new song or raw materials to sample or extract parts from. Layers takes that output and allows creators to generate professional, mix-ready instrument performances that adapt to a track’s structure, key, and tempo. Together, Blueprints and Layers form a flexible AI workflow that supports creators from first idea through final production.
A Multi-Model Approach to Music Creation
With Blueprints and Layers, LANDR brings together multiple specialized AI models from industry leaders, each selected for a specific musical role, and unifies them into a single creative workflow available through one subscription. This approach gives creators access to the right type of AI assistance at the right moment, without locking them into a single tool, model, or creative path.
“Our goal is simple: to support creators at every stage of the creative process,” said Pascal Pilon, CEO of LANDR. “Blueprints helps them start. Layers helps them finish. And everything runs on ethical AI that respects creators.”
Developed within LANDR’s Fair Trade AI framework, all models are trained on ethically sourced data from artists who opt in and are compensated for their contributions. This approach prioritizes consent, transparency, and trustworthy AI tools for creators.
LANDR Blueprints: Songwriting Assistant
LANDR Blueprints helps artists understand musical structure, experiment with form, and accelerate creativity. Acting as a songwriting assistant, Blueprints generates multi-track, structured song starters from selectable musical parameters—such as genre, vocal style, and instrumentation—in addition to lyrics and reference audio provided by a creator.
Blueprints delivers DAW-ready stems arranged into full sections such as intro, verse, chorus, and bridge. Offering a choice of state-of-the-art models from partners like ElevenLabs and Stability AI, Blueprints provides editable musical foundations that creators can explore, reshape, re-record, or replace entirely, keeping creative direction firmly in the artist’s hands.
What creators can do with Blueprints:
- Generate multi-track song starters with real musical structure
- Work with editable stems for drums, bass, vocal, and instrumental elements
- Explore, learn, brainstorm, and shape early arrangements quickly
- Experiment with multiple music models
- Expand these song ideas into full songs with Layers
LANDR Layers: Finishing Songs, One Layer at a Time
LANDR Layers is designed to help creators build momentum and bring song ideas to completion. Layers, co-developed with Aiode, is an AI co-producer that listens to the output of Blueprints—or any musical content—and creates professional, mix-ready parts that adapt to a track’s key, timing, structure, and tone, with enhanced control.
From adding rhythm or lead guitar, to slap or synth bass, horns, drums, or multi-instrument production layers, Layers is like having a roster of session musicians and producers on call whenever needed.
Layers can also transform any sample or recording into a full stem that works with your music. No more scrolling through endless libraries of samples to find the one that fits a production. Any sample can now fit any song—an industry first that opens up creative possibilities previously impossible.
What creators can do with Layers:
- Generate musical layers that complement any song
- Control how each layer is performed, from complex or minimal to solo or rhythm parts
- Adapt and expand any loop, one-shot, or recording to fit a song’s structure and feel
- Drag-and-drop high-quality stems directly into any DAW
“Layers represents a significant advancement in how producers work with audio. From generating new instrumental performances for a song to reshaping samples so they fit seamlessly into different musical contexts, audio is becoming context-aware and malleable in ways that were unimaginable a few years ago,” said Daniel Rowland, Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at LANDR.
Powered by a Growing AI Ecosystem
LANDR partners with leading AI innovators including ElevenLabs, Stability AI, AudioShake, Aiode, and insoundz, among others. These models power workflows across the LANDR ecosystem, enabling creators to move fluidly from idea to production to polish, all within a single platform.
Importantly, LANDR’s platform is designed to evolve alongside advances in AI and emerging technologies. As a result, creators benefit automatically through their LANDR Studio subscription, without the need to navigate multiple tools or providers.
“This partnership with LANDR shows that there is a better path forward for AI in music, one where technology serves artists instead of sidelining them,” said Idan Dobrecki, CEO & Co-founder of Aiode. “By combining our models with LANDR’s groundbreaking production ecosystem, we’re proving that innovation and respect for musicians can go hand in hand.”
LANDR Blueprints is currently in closed beta, with access beginning in February. LANDR Layers is currently available in public beta.
Both tools will be available as part of the LANDR Studio subscription and will be demonstrated during demo sessions at NAMM. New users can join LANDR Studio at a 20% discount for a limited time.
