Living Fish Studio has announced an update to its plugin designed to help users design guitar performances from tab notation. Version 1.1 of Guitar Stroke Helper adds deeper per-string control for more expressive guitar performances.
Guitar Stroke Helper is a guitar MIDI workflow tool that separates fretting from picking, letting you design realistic guitar parts from TAB notation.
Changes in Guitar Stroke Helper v1.1
- Per-string MIDI channel output for flexible routing.
- Per-string pitch bend with attack/hold/release curves.
- Per-string key switch via MIDI channel targeting.
- String transfer in TAB editor — move notes to adjacent strings while keeping pitch.
- Also includes MIDI to TAB conversion for importing existing MIDI (SMF) files.
Available for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU), Guitar Stroke Helper is on sale for the intro price of $22 USD until March 31st, 2026 (regular $44 USD). The update is free for existing users.
