Luftrum has released a second volume of its collaborative Omnisphere 3 preset series, this time made together with UK sound designer Tom Wolfe.
Symbiotic Volume 2 contains 70 expressive presets, 55 crafted by Luftrum and 15 by Tom Wolfe, blending the two sound designers’ approaches into one soundset.
At the heart of Symbiotic Volume 2 is a quiet dialogue between the analog and the digital, the organic and the electronic. Some sounds feel rooted in earthly warmth, while others gaze outward into deep space, unfolding with a sense of endless depth, mystery and quiet wonder.
Natural soundscapes blend with expressive synth colors throughout, floating cosmic arpeggios sit over evolving pads, and analog synth keys bring a Vangelis-inspired feel to chords and melodies, with most presets using modwheel and aftertouch for movement and expression while playing.
