Lunacy has recently launched a cross-browser and cross-DAW instrument platform built around trying instruments directly online before downloading favorites for offline use in a DAW.
Nova is positioned as a growing catalog rather than a fixed instrument list, built in collaboration with partners like Virtual Riot and Rainbow Circuit. The platform spans heavy growling bass synths, shimmering physically-modeled instruments, and saturated lo-fi textures, with new instruments, sounds, and presets delivered automatically to the plugin.
After two years of dreaming, developing, and building… NOVA, your new instrument platform, is here. NOVA is a growing library of instruments that live in the cloud and work seamlessly between your DAW and browser. Get instant access to the collection with the free NOVA Host plugin. No license keys. No messy installs. Just play.
Nova for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and AAX) is free to download with a free account. The current Nova catalog includes instruments such as Swarm, Gleam, Anima, Growl, and Drift Cassette, among others, with more being added over time.
A Launch Bundle of 5 premium instruments including 200+ presets, 50 multi-sampled instruments, and dozens of audio algorithms is on sale for $99 USD until October 11th, 2026 (regular $149 USD).
