Martinic has announced an update to its virtual instrument that has been accurately modeled on the Rheem Kee Bass from the ’60s.

Version 1.2.1 of Kee Bass comes with improved GUI performance, fixed parameter automation corner case, and the rogue MIDI note names in the VST2/CLAP plugin have been removed.

Bring some groovy, bassy vibes back from the ‘60s and straight into your music with Martinic’s faithful emulation of one of the first monophonic string bass simulators, the Rheem Kee Bass.

The Martinic Kee Bass VST/AU/CLAP plugin is based on the original electronic schema and an actual physical Kee Bass. Firstly Martinic modeled the instrument precisely (no sampling at all), then a few modern features were added to make it more versatile and unique, such as an extended range, a filter, and modulation.

Kee Bass is free to download for Windows and Mac.
