The Modular Commune has announced that it is returning with an international festival in 2025, taking place in 798 Art District, Beijing from November 13th to 16th.
The Modular Commune is Asia’s largest trade show and performance event for modular synths and other electronic music instruments. It is a non-profit event made possible by passionate volunteers from across and beyond the industry. Modular Commune has been held since 2015 and the first international iteration was held in 2024. It is a platform for exchanging ideas, for showcasing new sounds and products, for making new connections and to engage with musicians showing their work live.
The festival will be a held in a 3,600m² space fully packed with programs including dedicated areas for Expo, Modular Live, Ambient Live, Dolby Atmos, Master Classes, DIY- and other workshops and seminars, Kids Discovery Zone, Novice Village, Afterparties, Artists’ Market, and more.
In 2024, the festival attracted 20,000 visitors, with 100 live performances, 50 exhibitors, 38 workshops, 9 hours of DIY workshops, 5 afterparties, and a total of 1 module burned.
