MORPHOICE has announced an update to its recent virtual instrument which emulates the Juno-6 vintage polyphonic analog synthesizer from Roland.
Version 1.0.6 of EightySix comes with various improvements and fixes.
A year in the making, circuit modeled after my very own, meticulously restored Roland Juno-6 hardware unit — the iconic synth behind countless 80s hits and neon-soaked soundtracks. Lush pads, shimmering choruses, and that unmistakable analog warmth, right in your DAW.

- Improvements in DarkStar reverb algorithm Darkness parameter.
- Fixed stuck voices on note release (v1.0.5).
- Voice count tuned for stable CPU usage across DAWs (v1.0.5).
- Pitch and PWM modulation overhaul (v1.0.4).
- LFO now properly drives both pitch and filter cutoff (v1.0.4).
- PWM mode 0 (envelope) functional, envelope shapes duty cycle (v1.0.4).
- PWM mode 2 (LFO) wired correctly (v1.0.4).
- LFO smooth delay/fade-in matching original hardware (v1.0.4).
The public beta of EightySix is currently free to download in VST3 format for Windows and macOS. Users can support the work by using “pay what you want” on Gumroad.
