Muletone Audio has released Strashed and Grand Glass Marimba, two instrument libraries for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Strashed is a crazy and unusual idea of sound design. The crazy idea to get unique sounds of the entire body of a Fender Stratocaster. Tools were used as Saw, Wrench, Hammer, Philips Key and other objects seeking only take percussive sounds. Besides the guitar massacred on brick, roughcast, walls, corners, doors, windows, cement and others.

In Brazil, the glass marimba was popularized by Brazilian instrumental group UAKTI. Its members have built hundreds of percussion instruments, among them the glass marimba to a greater extent. Two kinds of sticks were used. The first has a velvety sound and a smooth attack. The second brings a brighter sound with more presence. No extended samples, each note has 8 velocities and all of them were separately sampled. More tone and performance. The library also explores chords, motifs and grooves to fully use in songs.

Strashed is available for purchase for $9.99 USD; Grand Glass Marimba is $19.99 USD. Both libraries require a full version of Kontakt 5.3 or later.
