Musio has announced the availability of a new feature for its Musio instrument platform.
A built-in mixer allowing users to control levels and compare different sound sources, including bespoke mixes and various microphone positions. Musio states that the feature utilizes recordings made with real microphones in studios worldwide, such as Neumann M50 tube mics on a Decca Tree array, rather than digital simulations. Mixes were handled by engineers including Dennis Sands.
In addition to implementing the feature for the CineSymphony series, the Musio team recorded sounds in Reykjavík, Iceland, and Cape Town, South Africa, aiming to capture the authentic sound of each recording environment.
It’s always exciting to release something that we know our users really want, and they’ve been very clear: They want more control over their sounds. The nice thing is the recordings were already designed for this—we just had to bring it all together. – Chris Hayzel, Musio CEO
Mic positions is available in Musio, which is available via a subscription for $9.99 USD a month ($0.99 USD intro offer for the first 3 months). A perpetual license in the form of Musio 1 is also available for $399 USD including all content available in the subscription.
