Native Instruments has announced the release of three of its genre-specific Expansion packs for Akai’s MPC platform.
- Timeless Glow captures a contemporary take on classic house, blending the genre’s Chicago roots with smooth, soulful modern production. Built for house purists, it features punchy vintage drum machine grooves, vinyl-sampled Rhodes and organs, warm analog synths, and emotive vocal chops, delivering silky, dancefloor-ready energy for creating deep, timeless house tracks.
- Infinite Escape explores the hypnotic, detail-driven world of micro and minimal house, delivering elusive grooves built from trippy percussive loops, agile sub bass, and finely brushed textures. Created in collaboration with Alexkid, this Expansion blends pared-back beats, tuned and glitchy percussion, warm analog signal chains, and atmospheric pads, giving producers the tools to craft deep, underground tracks designed for long, immersive dancefloor journeys.
- Drift Theory brings a boundary-pushing, lo-fi edge to hip hop, inspired by the experimental energy of the LA beat scene. Saturated drums, dusty synths, warped keys, and vocal textures are infused with analog hardware grit and cassette character, while curated kits and patterns make it easy to build bold, genre-blending beats full of swing, texture, and attitude.
The expansion packs are available to purchase for $39 USD each at the NI store.
