New Sonic Arts has announced an update to its Nuance creative sampler instrument for Windows and Mac.

Version 2.126 adds Universal Binary / Apple Silicon support for macOS, the ability to edit Group / Layer names, and MIDI assignments are now stored and recalled with the preset.

Note that in order to support macOS Universal Binary it was necessary to update the AU entry method, which is not backward compatible with older versions of Nuance. As a result it was required to rename the AU Component to ‘Nuance 2’.

Proudly standing out from the crowd of complex and cumbersome samplers, Nuance’s streamlined and intuitive approach will boost your productivity and inspire you to create new sounds – fast.

The update also includes some fixes:

  • Fixed a crash bug in the mapping editor.
  • Fixed an issue with parameter recall and automation in Ableton Live.
  • Fixed an issue with embed sample in host project feature.
  • Fixed a sample relocation issue.
  • Some key input/focus fixes.
  • Some graphical fixes.

Nuance (VST/AU/Standalone) is available for purchase for £89 GBP.
