Native Instruments has announced software updates to its Maschine music production and performance instrument and Komplete Kontrol, the plugin that unites all your instruments, effects, loops, and samples.

Version 2.16 of Maschine and version 2.8 of Komplete Kontrol bring full Apple Silicon support for M1 processors, plus VST3 hosting. Both plugins offer support for VST3 migration.

Opening a project that contains VST2s should automatically migrate to VST3 instances whilst preserving parameter settings. This feature is available for plug-ins that have added VST3 migration support.

The updates also fix an issue where the browser would freeze when browsing result lists with Previews ON on Apple Silicon Computers, an issue where Maschine was crashing when switching between Idea and Song mode, and various miscellaneous reported bugs and issues have been fixed as well.

The latest version of Maschine and Komplete Kontrol are now available via Native Access 2.
