Spektralisk has announced the release of a new soundset for the Serum 2 software synthesizer by Xfer Records.
A collaboration with HydraTek, Nihil: Annihilated Dimensions contains 100 presets, including sequences, pads and soundscapes, impacts and fx, and basses and leads.
Engineered to leverage Serum’s capabilities, these presets deliver a potent blend of aggression and atmosphere. Expect biting basses, expansive soundscapes, driving sequences, and impactful effects, all designed with a consistent control philosophy.
Nihil features
- Core Macros: Every preset features Drive, Tone, Motion, and FX/Space macros for predictable and immediate sound shaping.
- “NIHIL” Mod Wheel: Assigned uniquely per preset, this morphs the sound in dramatic ways – warping textures, intensifying distortion, or shifting rhythmic elements.
- 4 Additional Macros: Offer further deep-level tweaking potential specific to each sound.
A sample pack with 100 high-quality WAV files directly derived from the core character of the Serum presets is also available. It provides intense textures, impacts, drones, and one-shots ready to be dragged into any DAW or sampler.
