Noisebud has released an update to its adaptive spectral balancer effect plugin, adding a Static mode alongside its original dynamic processing.
Pinky 2 continuously compares incoming audio to a selectable noise-based target curve and applies small, broad minimum-phase adjustments toward it, with Tilt moving that target between pink noise (-3dB/octave) and brown noise (-6dB/octave).
The new Static mode lets Pinky measure the incoming audio for as long as needed, build an averaged spectral curve, and apply that as a fixed correction. A new Dyn/Stat control blends static and dynamic processing anywhere between the two. The update also adds Attack and Release controls for the dynamic section, to control how quickly Pinky reacts and how smoothly it lets go of corrections.
Pinky 2 for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU) is distributed through Noisebud’s Patreon-based model. Active $7 USD/month Patrons get full access to Pinky 2 alongside 40+ other Noisebud plugins, with Patreon payments also convertible to Noisebud Credits toward a permanent license. A 30-day unrestricted trial is available to try the plugin.
