Headway Studios has released a deeply sampled virtual nylon-string guitar created for expressive solo playing, realistic strumming, modern scoring workflows, and rhythmically detailed performances.
Nylis was recorded using a carefully selected guitar chosen for its warm tone, articulation clarity, and natural resonance.
Rather than pursuing a sterile or overly polished sound, the instrument embraces subtle performance imperfections — micro-timing variations, string noise, tonal inconsistencies, and natural dynamic fluctuations — allowing the instrument to breathe and respond like a real, human-played guitar.
In addition to the pick-based core engine, the instrument includes two dedicated Expressive Sustain articulations performed with finger technique, designed specifically for lyrical solo passages and dynamic melodic phrasing. With nearly 6,000 high-resolution stereo samples and carefully structured articulation control, Nylis delivers realism, flexibility, and performance depth.
Available for the full version of Kontakt (v6.7 or higher) is on sale at Pulse Audio and Loot Audio for the intro price of $55 USD until March 16th, 2026 (regular $79 USD).
