OA-Labs has announced an update to its virtual analog synthesizer instrument built on controllable instability.
Version 1.1 of OA-Phosphor-1 brings Windows support (VST3) and various improvements.

- Reworked arpeggiator: Trig Phase (Elektron-style cycle/phase), per-step octave motion, a per-step glitch effect (jump/stutter/skip), groove preview with custom seeding, hold/latch, and a step-edit navigator — the arp is close to a new instrument in its own right.
- Redesigned arp interface: The bottom bar’s been overhauled — grouped per-step controls, animated step selection, a cleaner layout throughout. The whole interface is also 20% wider, giving everything more room to breathe.
- 20 new factory presets across arp, bass, keys, lead, pad, and FX.
- Preset import and sharing — drag in .xml presets, rescan from disk, reveal in Finder/Explorer.
- Sound improvements — faster, more present analog jitter, a subtle drift floor at low AGE settings, a mono/legato note-start click fixed.
- MIDI Learn, with a clear visual indicator on mapped controls and a simple way to clear a mapping.
The synth is free to download in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS.
