Independent development studio Orcas Audio has launched with the release of a selection of VST3 effect plugins for Windows.
Our plugins reflect our musical sensibilities as producers and engineers, designed to add character and warmth rather than targeting clinical precision. We are inspired to build and explore reverb, delay, and tempo-synchronized effects that provide rhythmic cohesion and organic texture.
A tempo-synced filter modulation effect, Whirlpool (pay what you like, including free) is designed to help you add movement and character to your tracks with a tempo-synced pattern sequencer with multiple groove and modulation styles. It features perceptual response frequency intensity mapping, and controls for intensity, resonance, mix and level trim.
Undertow ($20 USD) delivers immersive soundscapes with an advanced reverb algorithm paired with innovative delay processing. Featuring an advanced reverb engine with freeze-control for atmosphere creation, the plugin comes with an inline analog delay with tempo sync and an analog-inspired soft-clipper for harmonic saturation.
The 4-stage series analog delay Quad Cascade ($20 USD) lets you create cascading echoes and complex rhythmic patterns. Each stage features independent feedback and gain controls, allowing for intricate delay textures and evolving soundscapes that build upon themselves. The plugin includes a built-in soft clipper for warm analog saturation, and level trim control for optimal output management.
