Orchestral Tools has introduced an intimate and detailed collection of selected Irish folk instruments alongside processed sounds. Curated and produced by Frederik Theyssen, Eavan delivers a close, detailed sound designed for traditional arrangements, modern songwriting, and cinematic textures.
Inspired by the traditional sounds that emanate streetwards from the heart of a cozy pub, Eavan is a set of Irish folk instruments with a poetic sensibility.
From spry tin whistle and Irish flute to wistful concertina exhalations to a bodhrán’s thump, Eavan features Irish folk instruments captured with closeness and clarity. It’s useful for creating traditional-style music as well as textural underscoring, songwriting, or simply adding a little lilt to your compositions.
The instrument library includes 4 traditional Irish aerophones and percussion with up to 19 articulations, including conventional and textural techniques.
Eavan is available for the intro price of €59 until July 16th, 2026 (regular €79 EUR). Purchases of Eavan during the promotion qualify for a 50% discount on any other collection within the Creative Soundpacks series (such as Arbos, Ore, Amber, or Illuvia) by using the checkout code celebrate-soundpacks.
Additionally, Orchestral Tools has released an update to its SINEplayer. Version 1.4 brings various frequently requested features:
