Orra Audio has announced an update to its recent parametric equalizer with per-band dynamic saturation. Version 1.1.0 of Orra EQ comes with per-band mid/side processing, full keyboard shortcuts, and various performance improvements.
“v1.1.0 is our first major update and we’re really proud of it. We’re especially excited about how M/S on saturation bands is expanding the creative possibilities. And the keyboard shortcuts changed how we use the plugin ourselves – being able to create any type of saturation band or dynamic EQ in addition to traditional EQ with a quick double-click combo makes the whole EQ-meets-saturation workflow feel seamless.
We’re just getting started – and the community-driven feedback is helping shape the future of Orra EQ.” – Aaron Jaques & David Schocke, Founders, Orra Audio
Changes in Orra EQ v1.1.0
- Per-Band Mid/Side Processing – Every band now has a channel selector (Stereo, Mid, or Side). EQ, saturate, and dynamically process the center and sides of your mix independently. All five processing modes and all 17 saturation algorithms work in M/S. Separate amber and teal response curves on the display show exactly what each channel is doing.
- Full Keyboard Shortcuts – Comprehensive keyboard control including quick band creation (double-click combos for each processing mode), band navigation, solo/bypass/delta/hide toggles, channel cycling, and filter type switching. Right-click the tips button for the full shortcut legend.
- Stability & Performance – Eliminated memory allocations on the audio thread, improved thread safety, clamped filter coefficients to prevent instability at extreme settings, and fixed Dynamic EQ clipping on hot signals.
The update is free for existing users. New customers can take advantage of an exclusive discount offered to Rekkerd readers.
For the next few days, Orra EQ is available to purchase for only $49 USD with discount code REKKERD at the checkout. This offer is valid until March 16th, 2026.
