Orra Audio has announced the release of a new 16-band parametric equalizer with per-band dynamic saturation.
Each band in Orra EQ independently switches between 5 processing modes – traditional EQ, tube saturation, tape emulation (6 vintage machine models), creative saturation (10 algorithms), and Dynamic EQ.
All 17 saturation types support dynamic saturation: a processing approach we believe is unique to Orra EQ. It works like upward compression through harmonics – bringing up quiet details with rich character while keeping loud peaks clean.
Unlike most modern EQs that process bands in parallel, Orra EQ routes audio through bands sequentially – like cascaded analog circuits. This series-chain architecture creates natural harmonic interactions between processing stages, delivering the kind of tonal complexity that made classic analog gear legendary.
Orra EQ features
- 16 parametric bands processing in series.
- 5 modes per band: EQ, Orra Tube, Tape, Models, Dynamic EQ.
- 17 saturation options: Orra Tube + 6 tape models + 10 saturate algorithms.
- Dynamic saturation for intelligent harmonic enhancement.
- Create EQ or Orra Tube saturation bands with a double left or right-click on the curve.
- Surgical precision with Q range 0.1 to 40.
- Real-time spectrum analyzer with pre/post monitoring.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS, (AAX coming soon), Orra EQ is on sale for the intro price of $79 USD for a limited time (regular $99 USD). A 14-day full-featured demo version is available to try the plugin.
