Party Bag Plugins has recently launched a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows and macOS. Reel-Synth features the sounds of vintage synthesizers sampled to represent the core methods of sound design, bringing additive, phase distortion, FM, and subtractive synthesis.
Reel-Synth is a hybrid music software instrument that combines a full digital synth engine with samples from seven classic and rare vintage synthesizers.
We sampled each sound digitally and through a reel-to-reel tape recorder, meaning you can switch between real, saturated lo-fi tape sounds and clean digital sounds at the press of a button.
The instrument lets you switch between tape and digital samples, and shape your sound with the built-in tape emulation. The synth and sampler can be blended and panned, a chord mode triggers rich, lush chords, and strum adds character. The keyboard can be split to play chords and melodies. Other features include a micro tuner, graphic equalizers, arpeggiator, filter envelope and an LFO modulator.
Over 150 presets are included to get you started, and you can randomize presets to find instant inspiration.
