Jonas Eriksson of Phase Fiasco has introduced a creative FX plugin built around granular stretch, tape varispeed, rhythmic stutter, and BendIt (circuit-bent buffer mangler with a DJ scratch mode), 4 independent time engines which run simultaneously, chainable in any order.
Tape Fiasco 2 is designed to turn a single audio loop into a performance instrument.
Tape Fiasco 2 is not a one-trick effect. It is a self-contained workstation for making sounds that wouldn’t sit comfortably in a normal plugin chain: stuttered rhythmic re-edits, frozen and scrubbed buffers, varispeed tape mangling, circuit-bent buffer glitches, and creative 21 effects that can be reordered and modulated together.
Two host-synced sequencers, three graph editors, four macros, a X/Y controller, and a four-column modulator system let you modulate up to 72 parameters at once instead of by hand.
