Phase Fiasco has released a creative multi-effects plugin built around stacking and animating a rack of effects.
KAZU lets effects be stacked from the plugin’s library, randomized to discover new combinations, then set in motion with a single animate button that drives coordinated modulation across the whole rack, turning a static sound into an evolving one.
A built-in step sequencer lets on/off rhythm patterns be drawn or randomized per effect, and a performance page maps an X/Y pad and four assignable macros over the entire chain.
Everything from lush reverbs and tape echoes to granular glitches, spectral destruction and wavetable filtering. Familiar sounds. Unfamiliar possibilities.
KAZU features
- 50 effects across reverb, delay, distortion, granular, spectral, modulation, and vocal/formant categories, including bitrot, circuit bend, wavefolder, granuverb, spectral delay, vocoder, and mangle.
- One-click Animate for coordinated modulation across a stacked effects rack.
- A drawable/randomizable step sequencer for rhythmic on/off patterning per effect.
- Unlimited modulation via generative sequencers, custom curves, LFOs, a pitch follower, and audio-reactive sources.
- X/Y pad and 4 assignable macros for live performance control.
- Preset manager for saving and recalling full effect stacks.
KAZU is available for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU), priced $29 USD + tax where applicable. A Linux version is coming soon.
