Piruz Labs has launched a plugin built on a slightly unusual premise: instead of distorting your signal itself, Pre Doom shapes what your distortion, amp sim, or saturator receives before it gets there.
Five character controls handle the sculpting — Mass rebuilds low-end weight, Bite pushes forward aggression without just cranking level, Punch dials in transient impact, Tight reins in looseness before high-gain stages amplify it, and Filth deliberately injects ugly harmonic content ahead of the main destruction chain.
A macro control labeled Doom to Knife sweeps the whole plugin between dark, weighty pressure and fast, precise aggression, while a second macro, Destroy/Rebuild, moves between loose devastation and tighter control.
Pre Doom for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and standalone) is on sale for the intro price of €24.90 EUR for a limited time (regular €39 EUR). A 14-day fully functional trial version is available to try the plugin.
