Pitch Innovations has announced the release of a new series of exotic playable rhythm kits for its world music sampler platform, Sonic Atlas.
Streets of South India comprises 3 expansion packs.
‘Street Kits’ introduces a new category in Sonic Atlas featuring playable street percussion ensembles, recorded at the highest studio quality and designed for modern music production. These expansion packs for Sonic Atlas are built as playable instruments, allowing producers and composers to perform loops and one-shots with velocity layers and round robins.
Each of the rhythm kits represents an exotic South Indian percussion sound:
- Singari Chenda Melam Kit – High-energy ceremonial percussion ensemble: Fast, bright, and cutting ceremonial percussion performed by 16 musicians.
- Thavil Kit – Traditional South Indian percussion ensemble: A deep, resonant rhythm section central to temple rituals and classical performance, performed by 10 musicians.
- Thambolam Kit – Raw street percussion ensemble: Large-scale street percussion performed by 18 musicians, capturing movement, scale, and collective impact.
The Streets of South India bundle is on sale for the introductory price of $99 USD until March 2nd, 2026 (regular $237 USD). Individual kits are $49 USD each instead of $79 USD during the promotion.
The offer is available at the Pitch Innovations store and from distributors such as Plugin Boutique and VST Alarm.
