Jaejin Lee has announced the release of a vocal chop and synth instrument for Windows, macOS and Linux. Slyce lets users use any vocal or audio file and play it like an instrument using 4 distinct engines:
- CHOP mode auto-slices the sample across the keys (white keys play the cuts in order).
- MELODY mode plays the whole sample as pitched notes.
- SYNTH mode has 315 built-in sounds, plus a per-key drum kit.
- SAMPLED mode loads SFZ banks (Salamander piano etc.)
The plugin features a built-in 6-track loop station with per-track sounds, metronome, and WAV export (mix + stems), a sample editor with various options (trim, cut, fade, normalize), and a selection of UI themes including full neon skins.
