Plughugger has announced the release of a new collection of sounds for the Hive 2 synthesizer instrument by u-he, aimed for dark, retro-futuristic techno and ambient genres.
The inspiration for Dark Cities came from the ground-breaking album Dead Cities by the Future Sound of London: dark and hard with a dystopian ambient atmosphere.
The sound expansion includes 154 new sounds aimed for dark techno and ambient genres with a retro-futuristic-feel. A dark and dystopian vibe – with the main focus on dirty bass and quirky synth sounds, sequences, pads and haunting soundscapes.
Dark Cities contains 154 new sounds and 8 new wavetables:
