Inspired by one of the defining synthesizers of the 1980s, Plughugger’s newly released Omnisphere 3 soundset is designed to bring the sound of the Roland Juno-60.
Built using both the newly added Juno waveforms in Omnisphere 3 and the classic soundsources included in earlier versions, J60 Heatwave dives into everything that made the instrument popular — warm chorus-drenched pads, deep analog basses and the unmistakable ’80s character that helped define an era.
To expand beyond the classic Juno sound, Plughugger also included a companion collection inspired by Yamaha’s iconic TX-series FM synthesizers, exploring the digital side of the 1980s with crystalline bells, metallic textures and glassy digital pads.
The result is a dual collection covering both of the decade’s defining synthesizer voices: warm analog nostalgia and sparkling digital precision.
J60 Heatwave contains a total of 157 sounds, including arpeggios and sequences, pads and strings, bass sounds, and synths and leads.
