Plughugger has returned with the second release in the ongoing hardware-centric series of soundsets for Xfer Serum 2.
Each volume exploring a single sound source or manufacturer in depth, and for X-Files of Synths Volume 2 the focus shifts to two popular and characterful instruments from Behringer: the Wasp Deluxe and the Crave.
Despite their compact size, both synths carry a strong sonic identity — from biting, unstable textures to raw, clear analog tones.
The presets are designed around three clear genres: classic analog vintage, modern EDM & pop, and atmospheric ambient. The soundset also contains unique drum and percussion sounds from both the Wasp and the Crave, further processed and shaped inside Serum 2.
X-Files of Synths Vol. 2 contains a total of 153 sounds:
