Prism Audio has announced the release of a drum and 808 enhancer plugin built to add analog weight, punch, and movement to your drums with just a few clicks.
Catalyst offers a full drum-processing chain in one insert: transient shaping, analog-style EQ, compression, SP-404-style drive, MPC-style character, tape color, crusher texture, final EQ/filter shaping, and a dedicated clipper.
The idea is simple: put Catalyst on a drum bus, 808, sample, or even a full mix when you want it to hit harder, feel more finished, and get louder without needing a stack of separate plugins.
Catalyst is not just one saturator or one clipper. It is a modular processing chain where each stage has its own flavor, and the main modules can be reordered by dragging them around. That means the same preset can become cleaner, harder, wider-feeling, darker, brighter, more aggressive, or more controlled depending on the order of the modules.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS, Catalyst is available to purchase $67 USD. The Catalyst Gold Preset Expansion is included for free for a limited time.
