PSP Audioware has released an update to its multi-channel compressor and limiter effect plugin. Designed from the ground up to be powerful, simple, and flexible for all kinds of surround and immersive audio applications, version 2.0 of PSP auralComp comes with 3 new compressor types, a favorites preset bar, and improved metering and workflow.
PSP auralComp provides up to 16 channels of compression per multi-channel input bus, each with intuitive controls and clear metering. Channels can be easily grouped, allowing you to adjust multiple channels simultaneously with minimal effort.
With a wide range of Quick Select configurations, PSP auralComp supports immersive formats from 5.1 up to 9.1.6 with a single click. PSP auralComp also offers Mid-Side processing for stereo tracks and includes an output brick-wall limiter for precise peak control.
Changes in auralComp v2.0
- A selection of compressors beside the default Opto (blue – previously graphite) type added: FET (red), VCA (black) and OldTimer (grey).
- A limiters’ gain reduction indication added.
- Operation manual updated.
- The default “Opto” compressor type changed the panel’s color to navy blue.
- Fixed: Latency compensation bug in the plug-in’s BYPASS mode.
- Fixed: Ratio dependent level fix when compressor on idle.
- Fixed: Crashes when clicking outside the side chain submix or side chain selector popup.
