Quantastical Sound has recently released a “Subtractive Body Synthesizer” for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU, AAX and standalone).
STRANG 2 is built around a single conviction. A great synth should breathe. So we took the bones of a classic subtractive, one core oscillator, the helpers it needs, filters that bite, and grafted convolution into its body. The result isn’t a hybrid. It’s a subtractive that finally has room to live in.
With our Corridor reverb engine built in, that room is architecture, not algorithm. Every note arrives from a place.
The plugin has just been updated to version 2.0.3, which comes with a resizable UI (100–200%), offline activation in the plugin, and an INIT preset as a real neutral starting point.
Available as standalone software for Windows and macOS and in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats, STRANG 2 is priced $59 USD. A free 14-day trial version is available to try the synth.
