Following the recent 2.5 update, Quantastical Sound has released a minor update to its synthesizer instrument which features an oscillator that feeds through a real-time convolution engine in the signal chain to add acoustic-like weight and space.
Version 2.5.5 of STRÄNG brings some improvements and bug fixes:
- Sympathy Boost: A switch, for anyone who thought the effect was too subtle.
- Formant Soft: Keeps the vowel color without the distortion.
- Mouse wheel everywhere: Wheel and trackpad work on every control now. Hold Shift for fine adjustment.
- Fixed: A crash when switching presets, mostly on Windows. The same bug sat in the Mac build underneath, so it is worth updating either way.
- Fixed: Sympaty could build up volume and go a bit phasey on some TONE settings.
- Fixed: Twist Pitch is cleaner while you turn it.
- Fixed: Output Trim no longer jumps when you switch dual layers or browse presets in dual.
- Fixed: Preset saving tells you what went wrong instead of just failing.
STRÄNG for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU, AAX) is priced $59 USD. Customers can use coupon code REKKERD at the checkout to get an exclusive 10% discount on a purchase.
The update is free for owners STRÄNG, and a 14-day trial version is available to download to try the synth.
