reFX has announced the release of a new dual-layer physical modeling synthesizer stocked with modulation and effects. Emulating acoustic instruments both real and imagined, Rippler adds a layer of subtractive synthesis to blend, enhance or solidify your sound.

Rippler’s signal path starts with its Exciters, which offer a choice of sounds, user import, and sidechain input to start the signal path. The Exciter signal and Noise Generator are then fed into two Resonators that mimic those of real acoustic instruments (tubes, membranes, bells, strings…). Two Oscillators can be added to blend and layer with the acoustic signal, and two Filters offer a large range of vintage and modern sound sculpting types. A generous dose of modulation and effects round out Rippler’s signal path.
