Reverb has launched a new Studio Sampled Sounds collection Drum Series Vol. 3 | FAME Studios – Muscle Shoals, AL, featuring drum sounds, hits, one shots, and grooves emulated in the fashion of Roger Hawkins and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.

Produced by Ian Ballard at Ohm Studios, these high-quality drum sounds allow you to create that timeless Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section flavor on any track.

This collection recreates the famous Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section Sound, inspired by Roger Hawkins in-pocket grooves, and accompanied by the rest of the FAME Gang aka The Swampers—Barry Beckett, Jimmy Johnson, and David Hood—this sample collection explores the mysteriously uncommon, yet definitive Rhythm and Blues grooves emanating from the unlikely destination of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

This sample collection features drum sounds emulated in the fashion, tuning, mic placement, and grooves of Roger Hawkins and his Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. This pack covers notable hits that Hawkins played on, such as Etta James “Tell Mama”, Wilson Pickett “Mustang Sally” and “Land Of 1,000 Dances”, and many more.

The kits of Hawkins were always set up differently or tuned differently depending on the session, so a mixture of Gretsch, Tama and vintage Ludwig drums are carefully tuned and muffled to get the sounds needed in this collection. Cymbals are vintage and modern Zildjian A’s and K’s.

Featuring Snare, Kick, Tom, Cymbal and Tom one-hits, dozens of groove loops and drum fills from FAME Studios hits all emulated to be historically accurate.

The sample pack is on sale for only $9.99 USD for a limited time (regular $29.99 USD).
