Reyes Amps has introduced a model of a 1959 Harmony H303 tube guitar amplifier circuit. Built around the vintage 12SQ7 triode preamp and 50L6 pentode output stage, Triode offers lo-fi grit and full blown tube saturation.
The simple circuit has been modeled at the component level with voltage measurements from the real hardware. TRIODE features additional input gain before the amp model and IR loader afterwards.
TIP: Turn down the main output near the IR loader to -12dB, and then crank the GAIN and OUTPUT on the amp to drive the amp into full saturation.
Triode features
- Enhanced version of the Reyes 303 amp model.
- +40 dB clean gain into the triode stage.
- Impulse response loader.
- Oscilloscope and spectral viewer.
- Mix knob to blend dry signal.
- 4x oversampling.
Triode for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU) is available to purchase for $39.99 USD, with a fully functional demo version available to try the plugin.
A free download, the single-knob Reyes 303 plugin features the raw amp circuit with an Alnico speaker IR. Also free is Kill Filter, a DJM-style HP/LP filter effect with a kill switch, running through the same tube stage.
