Cr2 Records has announced the release of EDM Festival Kicks + Drops, the first title from its brand new sample pack label – Sample Tools by Cr2.
Our aim is to bring the label’s reputation for quality forward thinking dance music into the sample pack world. This is the label that brought you Fedde le Grand’s “Put Your Hands Up For Detroit” and Chuckie’s “Let the Bass Kick in Miami Bitch” amongst others.
Our ethos is to not only provide top quality sounds, MIDI files and patches but also help you to develop your sound by sharing the techniques used in the creation of our packs through bundled video tutorials and booklets.
This first pack EDM Fesitval Kicks + Drops is from Cr2’s in-house mixing and mastering engineer Larry Holcombe aka Endemix. Larry has also produced packs for some of the biggest sample pack companies, consistently charting in the Beatport Sounds Top 10.
The pack contains over 580mb of audio content split between 100 of the very finest meticulously created key labelled kick drums and 15 festival ready drop construction kits. These kicks have been generated through a variety of synthesis, layering and processing techniques to produce kicks impossible to generate through one source alone.
If you are still searching for the festival destroying mainroom kick drum sound, the search is over. No stone has been left unturned in the quest to give you the ultimate collection of festival-ready tuned kick drums. The demos only contain kicks available from this pack so you can hear for yourself!
Our 15 Festival Drop construction kits are made up of mixdowns of the idea and then all of the individual elements. The drops for the most part contain a synth hook, buildup and drop. Packed full of tension and release, these are all in key labelled folders to make it as easy as possible to combine sounds. Ideas range from stripped back mainroom workouts and sun drenched EDM festival anthems to Melbourne bounce influenced vibes. For the up-and-coming producers, these loops can be mixed and matched to produce festival ready tracks and for the more experienced producer, every single melodic part (hooks, leads and basslines) has a corresponding MIDI file so you have flexibility with your sound sources.
If that wasn’t enough, bundled with the pack you receive a collection of over 25 minutes of tutorial videos from the producer explaining the production techniques behind many of these expertly crafted sounds. There is also a booklet packed with even more production tips and tricks to help you compete with the top EDM producers!
