Schwabe Digital has announced a major update to its audio plugin designed to smooth brightness without dulling the mix.
Rebuilt from the ground up, version 2 of HiFAL 2 comes with a new filter bank and oversmapling engine, expanded PARALIMIT stereo widening and narrowing, match volume, new scalable metering, a redesigned interface, and more.
HiFAL (pronounced High Fall) brings a classic vinyl-era mastering approach into modern mixing and mastering. It’s a dedicated high-frequency dynamics tool that smooths brightness without dulling the mix. With adaptive attack and release, transients stay natural while harsh peaks are controlled without losing their shape. On the mix bus, in mastering, or on individual tracks, HiFAL delivers a bright, controlled top end that goes beyond what equalizers, suppressors, or compressors can achieve.
A free update for all existing HiFAL owners, new customers can purchase HiFAL 2 for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and AAX) at an introductory 30% discount until October 14th, 2026 (regular $199 USD). Rent-to-own is also available.
