Schwabe Digital has released an update to its multi-band clipper effect plugin. Version 3.1 of Orange Clip removes crossover band limits for true surgical clipping, and makes it easy to solo any multi-band control.
Orange Clip 3 combines the legendary character of a classic clipper with advanced multi-band signal flow. Its layered, parallel design and independently bypass-able bands provide unmatched versatility. From subtle soft clipping to bold sonic transformations, Orange Clip 3 pushes the boundaries of what a multi-band clipper can achieve.
Changes in Orange Clip v3.1
- Surgical Clipping:
- Removed the crossover band limits, giving you full-range control of the linear phase filter bank.
- You can now clip just a sliver of the audio spectrum—like 50–75 Hz or 400–600 Hz.
- Shape tone and add distortion exactly where it matters.
- Right-Click to Solo:
- Right-click to momentary solo any multi-band module—no keyboard needed.
- Just right-click, listen, and tweak.
- Right-click to solo works on multi-band clip ceilings, orange knees, dry/wet, post gain, and crossover selectors.
The update is free for existing Orange Clip 3 users from their Schwabe Digital Account. New customers can purchase the plugin for $119 USD, or rent-to-own for $11.90 USD/month.
