Scuffham Amps has released version 2.52 of S-Gear, an effect plug-in featuring a collection of guitar amps, speaker cabinets and effects.

S-GEAR v2.52 introduces an updated Graphic EQ for the Wayfarer, adding two new sliders, a low 80Hz and a high 6600Hz. The new arrangement brings tremendous flexibility to the Wayfarer, in particular the low 80Hz and 240Hz sliders work very well together to balance the bottom end of both clean and driven tones. The new 6600Hz slider allows you to control the top end sparkle or sizzle.

The Wayfarer GEQ has been specially designed to provide a warm, round frequency shaping without phasing artefacts often associated with GEQs. Try the Wayfarer GEQ on clean sounds where you might otherwise have avoided patching in a GEQ.
An important thing about the Wayfarer GEQ is its positioning between the pre-amp and power-amp sections allowing you to sculpt your sound before the power-amp stage. This makes a huge difference compared to simply EQ’ing after the amplifier.

The v2.52 update also includes some minor bug fixes, details of which can be found on the S-GEAR download page. We’ve also made some optimisations to the S-GEAR build resulting in substantially reduced size for both the plug-in and installer.

S-Gear for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/AAX) is available for purchase for $129 USD (ex. VAT).
