Serato has launched the public beta for the latest update to its award-winning DJ software, bringing major updates and enhancements. Developed with Serato’s global community of users in mind, this beta introduces highly requested features that refine the user experience and elevate live performance capabilities.
Leading the update is Lucid Beatgrids, Serato’s most accurate and intuitive beatgrid technology to date. This completely rebuilt analysis engine delivers greater precision and reliability across a wider range of music, automatically detecting fluctuating BPMs during track analysis for more seamless performance. Serato DJ 5.0 also introduces Open Streaming for expanded streaming accessibility and Cue Loops, giving DJs greater flexibility and creative control throughout their sets.
The new slate of features represents a major step toward bridging the gap between legacy and modern DJ performance. By giving DJs and creators early access to explore new features and help shape the platform ahead of its official release, Serato reinforces its commitment to its artist community while empowering DJs to push their creativity and performance to new heights.

- Experience Smarter Beatgrids with Lucid Beatgrids: Serato’s rebuilt analysis engine delivers more accurate beatgrids by automatically detecting tempo changes and downbeats across both fixed- and fluctuating-BPM tracks—reducing manual editing and making difficult tracks easier to play with confidence.
- Customize Beatgrids with Greater Precision: A new ‘Flexible’ analysis mode, an improved ‘Fixed” analysis mode, enhanced beatgrid editing controls, and waveform BPM labels provide greater visibility and control when preparing tracks.
- Transform Any Loop into a Cue Loop in DJ Pro: Save a loop directly to a Hot Cue, allowing the playhead to jump to the cue point and activate the loop instantly with a single button press, available only in DJ Pro.
- Stream Everything, All at Once: Log into multiple streaming services simultaneously and mix tracks across providers and your local library without switching accounts.
- Browse and Search Streaming Services Seamlessly: Streaming providers now appear as individual crates, with a new provider search dropdown that makes it easy to switch between services while searching your library.
- View BPM and Key Information for Streaming Tracks: BPM and key data are now displayed for streaming tracks before analysis, making track selection and preparation faster.
