SessionDock has announced a major workflow-focused update to its macOS app for music producers designed to help organize, preview, search, and rediscover DAW sessions across large project libraries.
The latest update to SessionDock adds folder watching. New DAW projects saved inside watched folders can now be automatically added to SessionDock, while newly exported mixdowns or masters can also be detected and suggested as session previews automatically.
The goal is to reduce the friction that builds up over years of unfinished ideas, alternate versions, bounced exports, and disconnected project folders, while providing a smoother system for keeping music libraries organized going forward.
Export a bounce, mixdown, or master from your DAW and SessionDock can detect the new file and suggest linking it back to the correct session preview automatically. This update is designed to make large music libraries easier to maintain without changing your existing workflow.
Recent additions also include:
- Collections for organizing sessions like albums/playlists.
- Similar Ideas for resurfacing related projects.
- Creative Canvas for visually arranging unfinished ideas.
SessionDock is available for macOS, iOS, Apple TV, and Windows (Android coming). Users can download a free version with core features, or upgrade to SessionDock Pro for power workflows and unlimited mobile sync.
