Signum Audio has announced an update to its newly released BUTE Limiter audio effect plugin. Version 1.0.1 of the limiter is now included with the BUTE Loudness Suite.

Signum Audio’s new high-end limiter promises to deliver “seriously smooth, ultra-transparent limiting whilst guaranteeing no true peak overshoots”. The company says it is driven by a new audio limiting algorithm using a novel approach that claims to keep natural harmonics to deliver unprecedented audio fidelity.

The full BUTE Loudness Suite equips users with a comprehensive toolkit to deal with loudness-related issues. This includes the BUTE Loudness Analyser and BUTE Loudness Normaliser as well.

All BUTE plugins are available as 64-bit VST, AU, and AAX (including Audio Suite), are compatible with Mac (10.9 or higher) and Windows (8.1 or higher), and Pro Tools 12.5 or higher. The Surround version of BUTE is an expansion of the Stereo version providing multi-channel support for up to 10-channel Atmos.
