SINEE has announced the release of a major update to its plugin which is designed for rumble sound design, external bassline processing and low-end mixing.
The original Kikzilla arrived in 2019 as a tool for techno rumble. Its successor expands that idea: it generates the sound beneath the kick, shapes its groove and provides separate effects chains for the kick, the rumble and their combined output. An external input also lets producers process an existing bassline. The result is a workflow that runs from the initial sound source through to kick-and-bass bus processing.
Build a rumble and shape the groove
Kikzilla 2 offers nine internal sound models across its Verb and Noise sources, alongside 107 included loops. The Ext mode handles external basslines. Two independently tempo-synced envelopes control level and high cut, allowing producers to set when the bass comes in after the kick, how long it sustains and how its tone changes through the beat.
Envelopes can be morphed, drawn by hand or shaped with conventional Attack, Hold and Release controls. Kick and MIDI triggering are available alongside loop modes. The filter section offers Clean, Comb and Dirty models, plus Drive and a resonant Low Cut.
Process kick and bass separately, then bring them together
Three effects chains with three slots each provide processing for the kick, the rumble and their sum. Options include sub enhancement, dynamic low-mid reduction, saturation, transient shaping and bus compression. Master EQ, Auto Gain and clipping with up to 8x oversampling round out the mix section. The plugin includes 100 sound presets by Cortechs and SINEE, plus Init.
Kikzilla Lite, pricing and availability
Kikzilla Lite focuses on a direct rumble workflow. It combines six Verb and Noise sound models, a classic envelope, the Kikzilla 2 filter, Auto Gain and output clipping on one panel. Lite is included with Kikzilla 2 and is also available separately.
Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS, Kikzilla 2 is on sale for the introductory price of €79 EUR for a limited time (regular €99 EUR). Kikzilla Lite launches at €39 EUR (regular €49 EUR). Prices include VAT. A full-featured 14-day trial is available.
