sonicLAB has announced an update to its real-time stochastic event generator, which can generate complex MIDI events with multi scale event distribution processes.
Version 1.4 of Cosmosf M31 comes with various improvements and fixes.
As with other Cosmosf applications, here discrete note events of certain density are distributed in a time space defining the onset time and duration values by using stochastic / deterministic functions.
Each macro event defines the duration of a meso space, and the sub events are distributed inside it as micro spaces. This is how the local density changes can be elaborated. The micro events define a midi note event with velocity and pitch values. They can also be accompanied with multiple midi CCs which are continuously in motion.
Changes in Cosmosf M31 v1.4
- All code has been revisited and re-compiled with latest API.
- Fixed a memory issue on M31.
- Implemented a bi-directional plugin automation communication with the DAW.
- M31 checks MBot existence at the startup and attempts automatically to connect.
A free update for existing Cosmos M31 users, the plugin is available for Windows and macOS (VST and AU) for £85 GBP. It is part of the sonicLAB Cosmosf bundle alongside Cosmosf Saturn 9S and Cosmosf FX8. The bundle is £305 GBP (£389 GBP value).
