SonikStation has released version 2.0 of its sample library manager for macOS.
SonikSearch analyzes sample libraries automatically in the background, extracting BPM, musical key, loop/one-shot classification, category (31 subcategories across 7 groups), and audio characteristics including brightness, warmth, harmonicity, attack, crest factor, RMS energy, and duration.
Features include stackable search filters, a “Find Similar Sounds” function with adjustable per-parameter weighting, real-time timestretching and key transposition during playback, duplicate detection with an adjustable similarity threshold, and bulk metadata editing across folders.
Priced $89 USD, SonikSearch is available as a VST3/AU plugin and standalone application (including Ableton Link support). A 14-day refund is available.
